...until the gentlemen(20+ years experience) showed me what a mild Z32 port is at his work bench. Sanding and smoothing the port bowls, which are decent to begin with on Z32 heads. Seat of the pants = nonexistant. Heavy porting would require finding a person who has done Z32 headwork LOTS, to do it right and not hurt performance. Finding guys with that experience nowadays is difficult if not impossible. This gentlemen showed me a head from an older Corvette and how much excess material you can grind away. Eye-opening. Once you see that, makes you understand how older American Muscle cars benefit greatly from proper headwork.
